Otosclerosis surgery – stapedotomy and ossiculoplasty
This surgical procedure is one of the most common in middle ear surgery, yet it always carries a high level of intensity for the surgeon. The core idea is to robotize the critical phases of this delicate surgery, so as to raise the performance baseline of surgeons and allow younger practitioners to shorten their learning curve by approaching the results achieved by expert surgeons. The robotization of the gesture will thus be able to assist the surgeon in the placement of an otosclerosis piston, or of a partial or total middle ear prosthesis.
Cochlear implantation – Assistance with cochlear implant insertion
The objective is to ensure the quality of cochlear implant insertion, at a defined and constant speed, along an optimal axis adapted to anatomical variations, while minimizing the trauma of cochlear insertion.
